1) IFGA Rules apply
2) Unlimited tackle, 130 lb. Line test maximum
3) Only one shark per boat may be brought to dock for weighing per day.
4) No sharks less than 300 lbs. will count for score. Exception: Mako, Thresher, and Porbeagle 150 lb.
minimum. Boats weighing in sharks less than 300 lbs. will be penalized 100 points, plus 1 point per lb.
Exception: There will be no penalty points for Mako, Thresher and Porbeagle.
5) Fishing hours for September 7th and 8th. Lines in 6:00 a.m., lines out at 3:30 p.m. Return each day.
6) All boats must be in position to weigh their fish no later than 7:00 p.m. Exceptions: boats hooked up
before line out time have unlimited time to fight that fish and return to weigh station. The boat hooked up
prior to the lines out time must announce on the designated VHF Tournament Channel that they have
hooked up prior to lines out time.
7) Weigh station will be open each day from 12 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
8) Selection of tournament is Channel 78A.
9) All sharks are subject to inspection by tournament biologist.
10) Bang sticks, guns, harpoons and cockpit harpoons are NOT allowed to be used during the tournament,
per IFGA rules.
11) Any protest must be made in writing and presented to the tournament committee by 7:15 p.m. each day.
12) All tournament committee decisions are final. There are no REFUNDS!!
13) All fish weighed in for prize consideration must be caught from a registered boat. This is a tournament.
In the event of mechanical failure only, participants may fish from another vessel. The tournament
committee must be advised in writing prior to the vessel change.
14) There is no limit to the number of rods.
15) All participants are responsible for tournament information and rules reviewed at the Captain's meeting.
16) All boats are requested to submit daily catch/release affidavits to the tournament biologist.
17) A sportsman like conduct ashore and afloat is expected of all participants and their gusts.
18) All boats are responsible for disposal of their fish.
